Current Choir

The Davis Youth Flute Choir meets weekly during the school year at the Davis Art Center. It provides young musicians with the rare opportunity to cross over from classical to jazz.

The current choir is looking forward to the trip to New Orleans. To help fund their trip they performed holiday concerts, and will have a fund-raising concert on Friday May 3 at the Davis Art Center. They will perform at a wedding also in May and can be available to perform for private or business events.  In addition to their paid performances the choir has given back to their community playing free holiday concerts at the Davis Art Center, Atrium Covell Gardens and a church in Woodland.  In addition they performed at the 10th Anniversary Inuyama/Davis Sister City Concert in Davis last November. 

To help to continue with funding their upcoming tour, the choir will perform a concert on Friday,  May 3 at 7:30 p.m. at the Davis Art Center.  There will be a silent auction and a raffle for gift certificates from Davis merchants.

The choir leaves on August 7 for New Orleans where they are honored to perform once again at the National Flute Association convention.
